Bagno a Ripoli

Bagno a Ripoli (pronounced [' Banno a' rri: poli ] ) is a municipality in the province of Florence ( Tuscany Region ) with 25,488 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012).

Geography

The site covers approximately 74 km ². It is located about 20 km northwest of Arezzo and 7 km southeast of the provincial and regional capital Florence in the climatic classification of Italian communities in the zone D, 1854 GG. The village is located near Florence, in a plane along the Arno with palaces and villas. At the opposite shore from Fiesole. Bagno a Ripoli has Etruscan origins and developed in the 3rd century BC to a trading venue.

The districts include Antella, Candeli, Le Gualchiere, grass Sina, Lappeggi, Ponte a Ema, Osteria Nuova, Rimaggio, San Donato in Collina, Terzano, Vallina and Villa Magna.

The neighboring municipalities are Fiesole, Florence, Greve in Chianti, Impruneta, Pontassieve and Rignano sull'Arno.
