Baiern

Bavaria is a German community in the Upper Bavarian district of Ebersberg. There is no place called Bavaria, only the community as a whole to say that. The main towns of the community are Antholing, Berganger, Netterndorf and Pius home. The municipality is located in Kulbing. Bavaria is a member of the administrative community Glonn.

Name

Although the community name corresponds to the original spelling of Bavaria or the same tribe of the Bavarians or Bavarians, but it is a derivative of the Old High German word " Bur " in the meaning " house". From the hamlet Jakobsbaiern the community name was derived. Jakobsbaiern bore the name of the patron saint of the place, to distinguish him from the many other places called " Bavaria " or " Beuern ". Other examples of this measure are Ottobeuren or Benediktbeuren.

Geographical location

Bavaria is located in the Munich region and forms the southernmost municipality in the district of Ebersberg. The place Berganger located 4 km east of Glonn, 12 km south of Grafing, 18 km north of Bad Aibling and 16 km from the district town of Ebersberg. The nearest railway station on the railway line Munich -Rosenheim is located in Aßling ten kilometers away; to A8 ( points Hofoldinger Forestry and Weyarn ) is 20 km.

There is only the district of Bavaria.

History

Bavaria belonged to Rentamt Munich and the Court of Swabia of the Electorate of Bavaria and was the seat of a main team. The Weihenstephan Monastery was up to the secularisation of 1803 important landowner in today's municipal area. Created in 1818 with the Gemeindeedikt the church today.

The painter Edgar Ende spent his last years in a former school house in Netterndorf. He died there on December 27, 1965 and was buried in the cemetery of Antholing.

Population Development

On the territory of the commune were 1970 986, 1987, 1048 and 2000 counted 1,402 residents a year.

Policy

The municipal tax revenue in 1999 amounted to the equivalent of € 349,000, of which trade tax revenues ( net) converted € 29,000. Bavaria is the last municipality in the district in which there are no party lists, but only one common list of candidates for the City Council local elections.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

There were 1998 in the field of agriculture and forestry not, in industry 68, and in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace.
