Banaadir

The capital region of Benadir (also written Benadir; Arab بنادر, Banadir DMG ) is a total of 18 administrative regions ( Gobolka ) of Somalia and is located in the south of the country. Its capital is the capital Mogadishu.

The region lies on the Indian Ocean. Previously we also had the neighboring regions Shabeellaha Dhexe and Shabeellaha Hoose to Benadir.

The name of the region is derived from the Benadirküste, which in turn will have to " port " their name from the Persian bandar.
