Nugal, Somalia

Nugaal (also written Nogal; Arab نوغال Nūghāl ) is a region in central Somalia and part of the de facto autonomous, internationally unrecognized Puntland. It has about 160,000 inhabitants. Its capital is Garoowe.

Another town of Eyl. The southern neighborhood is, Mudug, Nugaal located north of Bari and Sool west is, was formerly part of Nugaal. In the southwest borders Nugaal to Ethiopia and to the east lies the Indian Ocean. The coast of Nugaal was affected by the tsunami on 26 September 2004.
