Barry Bannan ( born December 1, 1989 in Airdrie ) is a Scottish football player who currently is under contract with the English club Crystal Palace.
Career
Beginnings in Villa and loan period at Derby County
Barry Bannan is a product of the youth academy of Aston Villa. He started in the 2007/08 season, where he scored thirteen goals and thus the youth academy for Premier Academy League win in 32 games. In ten games, he also scored a goal for the reserve team, this team won the Premier Reserve League South 2007/08.
On 1 July 2008 he signed a two-year contract at Aston Villa. In November 2008, he was named by the local radio station " BBC West Midlands " for "Young Player of the Month". He was the first player from Villa who could win this award twice.
In the 1-3 defeat against Hamburg, he completed on December 17 in the UEFA Cup group match his debut in the first team when he came on in the 61st minute. On 26 February 2009, he played his first match in the starting lineup again in the UEFA Cup in the round of 32 against CSKA Moscow, also this game was lost.
After only two appearances in the UEFA Cup, he was awarded on 13 March 2009 for a month at Derby County after the midfielder Miles Addison and Paul Green is injured and failed until the end of the season. However, the loan was extended until the end of the season. The following day, at the 2:4 defeat against Sheffield United in his debut, he scored his first goal.
After ten games and a goal borrowing ended at the end of the season. However Bannan joined a return to Derby County not. The newspaper " Burton Mail" he said in an interview that if Aston has no plans with him, he would not mind return to this great club. This occurred not initially, so he returned to Villa.
Five months back at Aston Villa and next Leihphase at FC Blackpool
Since the Football League Championship ended earlier than the Premier League returned Bannan back before the end of the Premier League season. At the time he was playing for the reserve team in the " Premier Reserve League South ." This could win Aston Villa and thus came in the playoffs against the master of the " Premier Reserve League North ," the AFC Sunderland. Bannan was part of the starting lineup, Aston won 3-1 and thus won the Premier Reserve League.

Breakthrough at Aston and other loan period with Leeds United
After a good preparation for the 2010/11 season, he completed 14 August 2010 on the opening day his first Premier League game when he came off the bench against West Ham United in the 89th minute for Marc Albrighton. Only five days later, he scored in the Europa League qualifying match against SK Rapid Wien his first goal for Villa.
On March 7, 2011 Bannan was borrowed for the rest of the season at the Leeds United, which plays in the Football League Championship. His first game for the Whites completed in a game against Preston North End when he came on in the second half.
National
Bannan playing for Scotland U- 21 team, where he graduated in 2011 five matches in qualifying for the U-21 Football Championship. On March 28, 2009, he made his debut in the 1-0 win over Albania. After three more games, he played on 15 November 2009 his last game in a 4-0 victory over Azerbaijan in Tofiq - Bəhramov Stadium in Baku.
On May 6, 2009, his first and only B- International Match completed the 3-0 win over Northern Ireland as
16 November 2010 in a 3-0 win against the Faroe Islands, he played his first senior international match, even in the starting lineup.
