The Bemidji Regional Airport ( IATA: BJI, ICAO: KBJI ) is the airport of the city of Bemidji in Beltrami County in north-central of the U.S. State of Minnesota.

The airport is jointly owned by the city of Bemidji and Beltrami County and is operated via the Airport Authority.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classifies the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems belonging to the airport according to the number of 22,007 departing passengers as a primary commercial service airport.

Location

About the U.S. Highway 2 and the Paul Bunyan Drive, the airport is connected to the 6.9 km southeast to the center of Bemidji. Not far from the airport runs of U.S. Highway 71, which runs from the Canadian border at International Falls to the south.

Equipment

The 700 -acre airport has two start and runways, each having an asphalt surface. There is a passenger terminal with two passenger boarding bridges and a baggage handling system. The car rental companies Alamo, Enterprise, Hertz, and National have bases in the reception building.

At the airport a total of 40 aircraft are stationed. Of these, 23 single-engine and multi-engine propeller aircraft 15 and two helicopters.

Of the 36 aircraft movements per day, 59 percent of general aviation and 13 percent are attributable to the air taxi traffic. Scheduled flights account for 23 percent. There are also about five percent military aircraft movements.
