Ben Gordon (ice hockey)

Ben Gordon ( born January 31, 1985 in International Falls, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since 2012 in the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League under contract.

Career

Ben Gordon began his career as a hockey player with the Lincoln Stars, for which he was active from 2002 to 2004 in the Junior League United States Hockey League. In the season 2002/ 03 he won with his team the Clark Cup. From 2004 to 2008 he attended the University of Minnesota, for their hockey team he played in parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. In 2007 he won with the team the championship of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. In the 2008 /09 season of the Center for the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL made ​​his debut in professional hockey. Shortly before the end of the season he moved within the league to the Reading Royals, for whom he regularly stood in the following two years on the ice. During his time in Reading, he also came to a total of 25 appearances for the Providence Bruins, Toronto Marlies, Abbotsford Heat, Rochester Americans and Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.

For the 2011/12 season Gordon was engaged by the DEG Metro Stars of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, also got a contract offer for the following season, but which he did not accept the advice of his adviser.

Gordon signed a contract in early September at the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League.
