Bennwihr

Bennwihr ( German Bennwihr ) is a commune with 1260 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Ribeauvillé, the canton of Kaysersberg and is a member of the Association of Municipalities Ribeauvillé.

Geography

The community Bennwihr is located on the Alsace wine route at the foot of the Vosges, six kilometers south of Ribeauvillé and ten kilometers north of Colmar. The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges.

Neighboring communities are of Mittelwihr and Beblenheim in the north, Ostheim in the northeast, Houssen the southeast, Colmar in the south and Sigolsheim in the southwest.
