Bill Forrester

William " Bill" Forrester ( born December 18, 1957 in Darby, Pennsylvania ) is a retired American swimmer.

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he won the bronze medal over 200 m butterfly. Two years later he was able to win at the World Swimming Championships in Berlin both the title over 200m freestyle and the 200m butterfly. Other successes were denied him by the Olympic boycott in 1980.
