Winner of the Danish Bodil Film Awards for Best Danish film ( Bedste danske film). The Danish Association of Film Critics and Writers ( Danish Filmmedarbejderforeningen ) awards each year since 1948 his awards for the best film productions and filmmakers in late February or early March at a gala in Copenhagen.
The most successful in this category was Lars von Trier, whose films have brought 1985-2012 on seven awards, followed by Lau Lauritzen and Nils Malmros, each with four victories. Malmros is still the only film director whose work as a director able to triumph both as the best Danish film production of the year, and in the four actor categories.
