Boris Stenin

Boris Andrianowitsch stenine (Russian Борис Андрианович Стенин, born January 17, 1935 in Arti; † 18 January 2001, Moscow) was a Russian speed skater who competed for the Soviet Union.

Stenine 1960 in Davos -around world champion. In the same year he won the silver medal in the all around competition European Championships and the bronze medal over 1500 meters at the Olympic Winter Games in 1960 in Squaw Valley. He was then awarded the Oscar Mathisen Memorial Trophy.

Stenine was married to the speed skating world champion Valentina Stenina. He later worked as a coach, sports scientists and officials at the ISU.
