Brad Bombardir

Luke Bradley Bombardir ( born May 5, 1972 in Powell River, British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. In his career he played in the National Hockey League for the New Jersey Devils, Minnesota Wild and Nashville Predators.

Career

Bombardir played in his youth at the Powell River Paper Kings in the British Columbia Junior Hockey League and the team of University of North Dakota in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

His first professional station were the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League. In the NHL Entry Draft 1990 Bombardir was selected in the third round to 56th position overall by the New Jersey Devils. His first NHL game he should, however, only seven years later, during the 1997/98 season contest. In 2000, he was with his team win the Stanley Cup.

After this season, he was transferred on 23 June 2000 for Chris Terreri and a ninth- round draft pick in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 by Saint Paul to the Minnesota Wild. Success came from, however, and it was followed during the 2003/ 04 season, shortly before the transfer deadline, another change, this time to Tennessee to the Nashville Predators. Along with Sergei Žoltoks he moved in exchange for a third - and fourth- round draft pick in the NHL Entry Draft 2004. Predators but were beaten in the first round of the playoffs the Detroit Red Wings.

During the lockout the NHL season 2004/ 05 he was out of contract. In 2005, he ran on in the AHL in a game for the Springfield Falcons. However, he had his career due to a knee injury he had suffered during his time in the AHL, quit.
