Browiniec Polski
Probnitz (Polish: Polski Browiniec ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Probnitz located in the municipality Zülz ( Biała) in Prudnicki powiat (district Neustadt OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location
Probnitz is located seven kilometers south-east of the municipal center Zülz, 13 kilometers northeast of the county town of Prudnik ( Neustadt OS) and 37 kilometers southwest of the Opole voivodship ( Opole ).

Neighboring towns of Probnitz are in the north Altzülz ( Solec ), in the northeast Rosenberg ( Rostkowice ), to the east Wilkau ( Wilków ), in the south of Nowy Browiniec ( German Probnitz ) and in the southwest Olbersdorf ( Olbrachcice ).
History
The town was first mentioned in 1374 as " Profencz ".
In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 184 voters voted to remain in Germany and 35 for Poland. Polish Probnitz remained with the German Reich. After Upper Silesia was ceded to Poland, the town name was changed to Probnitz. On July 21, 1936, the town was renamed in samples. By 1945, the place was in the district of Neustadt OS
In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Browiniec Polski and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship and from 1999 served as part of the powiat Prudnicki. On 6 March 2006 the German Probnitz was in the community Zülz, plays, introduced as a second official language. On 24 November 2008, the City also received the official German place names Probnitz.
