Bulgarian Socialist Party

The Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP is just a political party in Bulgaria. It is led by Sergei Stanishev. It is the successor party of the Bulgarian Communist Party ( BCP ).

Since the 2013 parliamentary elections it provides, together with the xenophobic party Ataka and the party of the Turkish minority DPS Oresharski government.

History

The Bulgarian Socialist Party was founded in 1891 as the Bulgarian Social Democratic Workers' Party. She wore from 1919 to 1924 and from 1948 to 1 April 1990 the name of Bulgarian Communist Party.
