Buñol

Buñol (Spanish Buñol Buñol catalan [ buɲɔl ] ) is a municipality in the province of Valencia, east of Spain with 9941 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

Geography

Buñol is located 38 kilometers west of Valencia along the Buñol River.

Nearby is the high-speed line Madrid -Levante crosses under the Cabreratunnel the Sierra de La Cabrera.

The Tomatina is a festival that takes place every year on the Wednesday of the last week of August, during the Tomatina hold up well in the small town of 40,000 people on.

The Tomatina 2004 was included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
