Burbach, Rhineland-Palatinate

Burbach in the Eifel is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kyllburg.

Geography

Burbach is on the northern edge of the Kyllburger Waldeifel. To Burbach also includes the hamlet of Neustraßburg and residential places and hamlets Burbachermühle (also called contingent mill), Dahlheckhof, yard Lietz Cross, The Katzenbach and new pond.

History

Burbach to 1576 belonged to the territory of the Prüm Abbey. The Elector of Trier James III. von Eltz took over the Prüm territory, the place was wonderfully since country until the end of the 18th century to the Electorate of Trier and Schultheißerei Seffern within the Office Prüm.
