Kyllburgweiler
Kyllburgweiler is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kyllburg.
Geography
Kyllburgweiler is located in the Eifel on the Gindorfer plateau, which is part of the Good Land. To Kyllburgweiler includes the living space Landmauerhof.
History
Kyllburgweiler was the first time in 1224 as Wilre (Latin: Villaris = belonging to an estate ) mentioned and is probably an early settlement back in Roman times. Corresponding findings support this assumption. By the end of the 18th century, the Cistercian monastery of St. Thomas was lord in Kyllburgweiler. The state government was Kurtrier. Built in 1569 the inhabitants of Kyllburgweiler from its own resources a chapel.

The local council in Kyllburgweiler consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Coat of arms
The blazon is: "Under a silver shield head, in a blue sword with a golden hilt, in a black slanting right, red-white geschachteter bar".
As an indication of the dominance of the Cistercian monastery of St. Thomas the red- white bar is to understand. The old chapel in Kyllburgweiler led back to the earlier patronage of St. Lucia, whose attribute is the sword.

- The Chapel of St. Wendelin, dating back to the 16th century, is today owned by the local church.
