Wilsecker
Wilsecker is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kyllburg.
Geography
The municipality lies in the Eifel. To Wilsecker includes the residential places Achterhof, Buchenhof, house Bertert, Heidhof, Nikolaushof and Zwengelshof.
History
The town was first mentioned in 893 in a document as " Willesacger ". 1563 included the town 10, 1684 seven fireplaces.
By the end of the 18th century the village belonged to the Official Wilsecker in the Electorate of Trier. After the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine (1794 ) and the acquisition of the French administrative structures (1798 ) belonged to the Mairie Wilsecker Wilsecker in the same canton, which belonged administratively to the Prüm district in Saarland Department.
Following decisions at the Vienna Congress in 1815, the region came to the Kingdom of Prussia. Under the Prussian administration Wilsecker belonged from 1816 to the mayoralty Wilsecker in the newly built district of Bitburg in the Trier region.

Policy
Parish council
The local council in Wilsecker consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman location.
Partnership
Since 2007, a partnership with the " 52 EMS Armament Flight" unit of Spangdahlem Air Base. The desire for a partnership came from the American side to bring the American people so that the German way of life, customs, ie people and the country.
State elections in 2011
Most strongly represented in the Landtag for Wilsecker is the CDU with 34%, the second most the Greens with 21.4. The SPD reached 20.4%. An unexpectedly good result achieved in the regional elections of 2011, the Pirate Party: With 11 votes out of 103 votes country it achieved 10.7%

The present church is dedicated to St. Nicholas and was inaugurated in 1862. A statue of the patron saint is on the altar. This altar is from the Bademer church and came to the new building of the local church 1907-1921 by Wilsecker. In the frontal is a figure of St. Eligius, the patron saint of Bademer church carved. In the central niche of the wooden structure is a figure of the painful mother with her dead son.
Economy and infrastructure
In Wilsecker the federal motorway crosses the 60 Kyll. The Kylltalbrücke has a total length of 645 m and a height of 93 m above ground. The span is 223 m, so that the bridge is the largest prestressed concrete arch bridge in Germany.
