CAF Super Cup

The CAF Super Cup is a football competition for club teams of African Football Association CAF, which is played between the winners of the CAF Champions League and the African Cup Winners' Cup since 1993 and is comparable to the UEFA Super Cup. After adjustment of the Cup Winners' Cup Competition 2003 Champions League winner plays from 2004 to the winner of the inaugural CAF Confederation Cup.

Mode

The contest will be decided in a game and takes place at the beginning of the following calendar year. Apart from a few exceptions in the 90 years the winner of the CAF Champions League always has home advantage. If it is tied at the end of the regular season followed in the past for an extension and then, if necessary, a penalty shootout. Since 2011, follows after the regular time directly a penalty shootout.
