Cainta is a Philippine municipality in the province of Rizal, in the administrative region IV, Calabarzon. It has 311 845 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ), who lived in 7 barangays. It is classified as a church of the first income class in the Philippines and as urbanized.

Cainta is located on the border to the capital region Metro Manila. The topography of the municipality is characterized by the south-eastern foothills of the Central Luzon level.
