California State Route 99

The California State Route 99 (abbreviated CA 99 ) is a state highway in the U.S. state of California, which runs in a north -south direction, it almost crosses the entire Central Valley. Over the entire length of time the State Route is an alternative route to Interstate 5 through the eastern, more populous parts of the Central Valley. On your way you bind to, among others, the following cities on the California Freeway and Expressway System: Bakersfield, Visalia, Fresno, Madera, Merced, Modesto, Stockton, Sacramento, Yuba City and Chico. Almost the entire area south of Sacramento is expanded according to freeway standards, and there are plans according to which this section could be converted into an interstate. For this, it would need some structural changes and modifications are made. The California Department of Transportation plans, then to call this section as Interstate 7 or 9.
