The Camanche Township is one of 18 townships in Clinton County in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Iowa.

Geography

The Camanche Township is located in Eastern Iowa at the mouth of the Wapsipinicon River in the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Illinois. The border with Wisconsin is located approximately 110 km north.

The Camanche Township is located at 41 ° 46'43 " north latitude and 90 ° 18'02 " west longitude and extending over 58.61 km ², spread over 50.43 km ² land and 8.18 km ² water surface.

The Camanche Township is located in the southeast of Clinton County and is bordered to the south by the Scott County. On the opposite bank lies the Mississippi Whiteside and Rock Iceland County in Illinois. Inside the Clinton County the Camanche Township is bordered on the east by the Eden Township and the north by the Township belonging to any city, as well as Clinton over an enclave to the Center Township.

Traffic

By Camanche Township runs along the Mississippi at this point the Iowa section of the Great River Road U.S. Highway 67 forming the northern boundary of Township 30 is formed by U.S. Highway. All other roads are County Roads and more subordinate and partly unpaved roadways.

By Camanche Township performs a running along the Mississippi railway line of the Canadian National Railway. Due to the north of the township runs another railway line, which is operated by the Union Pacific Railroad.
