Carlos Carmona ( 2013)
Carlos Emilio Carmona Tello ( born February 21, 1987 in Coquimbo ) is a Chilean football player who is under contract with the Italian first division club Atalanta.
Career
Association
Carmona's first professional club was 2005, the Chilean club Coquimbo Unido. In the first division, he established himself already with 18 years as a regular player. After three years he returned to the club in 2007, the back and moved on to league rival CD O'Higgins. In O'Higgins he graduated in the 2008 season, 16 league games in which he scored three goals. Already in July 2008 moved Carmona abroad, to Italy, to Reggina Calcio. Also in the new club he played himself straight into the starting line- but could not avoid relegation to Serie B at the end of the season 2008 /09. In August 2010, he signed a four-year fixed-term contract with Atalanta Bergamo.
National
At the Junior World Cup 2005, he was the youngest player in the Chilean squad. The at that time 18- year-old came in this tournament in two of four games of his team to use .. Two years later he led the Chilean selection at the Junior World Cup as captain on the pitch. He reached with his team to third place and worked in all group matches and the quarter-finals.
For the Chilean national team, he made his debut on 4 June 2008 in the match against Guatemala. Since then, the defensive midfielder is an integral part of the Chilean national team due to his strength and stamina his great dedication. In qualifying for the 2010 World Cup, he was able to achieve an outstanding second place behind group winners Brazil with Chile. After eleven games, he was employed in the said qualification, he was appointed in May 2010 in the squad for the 2010 World Cup.
