Căușeni District

The Rajon Căuşeni is a Raion in Moldova. The Rajonshauptstadt is Căuşeni.

Geography

The Rajon located in the southeast of the country on the border with Ukraine. Căuşeni adjacent to the Municipality Tighina and to the location beyond the Dniester River breakaway Transnistria and to the Rajons Anenii Noi, Cimişlia, Ialoveni and Ştefan Voda.

Besides the capital Cainari owns the municipal law, the remaining area of the Rajons is distributed to rural communities ( communes): Baccealia, Baimaclia, Chircăieşti, Chircăieştii Noi, Chitcani, Ciufleşti, Cârnăţeni, Cârnăţenii Noi, Cârateni Thu, Copanca, Coscalia, Cremenciug, Fârlădeni Gasca, Gradinita, Grigorievca, Hagimus, OPACI, Pervomaisc, Plop Stiubei, Saiti, Sălcuţa, Taraclia, Tănătari, Tănătarii Noi, Tocuz, Ucrainca, Ursoaia and Zaim.

The village Chitcani heard while officially for Rajon Căuşeni, but is under the control of Transnistria.

History

The Rajon Căuşeni exists since 2003. Until February 2003, the area belonged together with the City Tighina and today's Rajon Ştefan Voda to the now defunct county Tighina ( Judeţul Tighina ).
