Cavenago di Brianza
Cavenago di Brianza is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7003 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Monza and Brianza in Lombardy. The community is located about 11 kilometers east of Monza and approximately 22.5 kilometers northeast of Milan on Parco Rio Vallone. Cavenago di Brianza is immediately adjacent to the province of Milan.
History
873 the village was first mentioned in a document. The name borrows as in the varesischen community Caponago from the Latin place name Caponiacum. But maybe he is of recent origin and Ca venationes is borrowed. 2009, the church was transferred from the Province of Milan in the newly formed Province of Monza and Brianza.
