Chiaki Kusuhara

Chiaki Kusuhara (Japanese楠 原 千秋, Kusuhara Chiaki, born November 1, 1975 in Matsuyama ) is a former Japanese beach volleyball player.

Career

Kusuhara 1998 played their first international tournaments with Ryoko Tokuno. The following year, the Japanese women occupied 33rd place at the World Championships in Marseille. In Klagenfurt in 2001 they failed as runners-up in the first round to the eventual champions Adriana Behar and Bede Shelda from Brazil and reached thus, as already in numerous open tournaments this year's 17th place. They were also Tenth Goodwill Games in Brisbane. In 2002 she arrived in Montreal and Stavanger for the first time in the Top Ten of open tournaments and missed as fourth Grand Slam in Klagenfurt only just a medal. In the first round of the 2003 World Cup they had to re- Adriana Behar and Shelda beaten. In 2004 she participated in the Olympic tournament in Athens and retired as a group of third after the first round. Then they parted.

Kusuhara formed a new duo with Satoko Urata, the Ninth was twice at the Open tournaments in 2004 in Rio de Janeiro in 2005 in Osaka.
