Mika Saiki

Mika " Teru " Saiki (Japanese佐伯 美 香, Mika Saiki, born September 25, 1971 in Matsuyama ) is a former Japanese volleyball and beach volleyball player. She participated in both disciplines in the Olympic Games.

Career

Saiki took 1996 as Hall volleyball player with the Japanese national team in the Olympic tournament in Atlanta in part. However, the team already retired from after the first round.

After the beach volleyball World Cup in 1997 she made the sand a duet with Yukiko Takahashi, with whom she had already completed shortly before two open tournaments. Takahashi / Saiki defeated in the quarterfinals of the 1999 World Cup in Marseille the eventual winner Sandra Pires and Adriana Samuel. Against the same opponents they lost in the next year, the battle for the bronze medal of the Olympic tournament in Sydney, after they had previously been at the Open tournaments in Berlin and Osaka Third and Second.
