Christoph Sauser

Christoph Sauser ( born April 13, 1976 in Sigriswil ) is a Swiss mountain bikers.

Among his greatest successes include the income from the previous ten World Cup races and winning the World Cup overall standings in 2004 and 2005. Besides his six Swiss league titles, the European champion title in the U23 (1998) are the third, respectively. the second places at the Mountain Bike World Championships (2001, 2005, 2006) his best placements to title fights. At the Olympic Games in Sydney ( 2000), he won the bronze medal. In 2007 he won the Marathon World Championships for the first time at Gold Championships. By winning the world title in cross country in 2008, he could win the second gold medal in a row. He almost even become the first double world champion in mountain biking - at the Marathon World Cup 2008, he was blamed for the crash in the final sprint with Roel Paulissen why he was demoted after the race to 2nd place.

After several years at Cannondale team Sauser travels with the team Specialized since 2006. Christoph Sauser is living in Sigriswil.
