Cristina Husmark Pehrsson

Cristina Husmark Pehrsson ( born April 15, 1947 in Uddevalla ) is a Swedish politician. From October 2006 to October 2010 she was Minister for Social Security issues. She is married and has three children.

Cristina Husmark Pehrsson closed after school in 1969 trained as a nurse in Lund and worked thereafter as such. In the 1970s she joined the Moderata samlingspartiet at. First, she became involved at the community level before she was elected to the county council in 1994 and finally in 1998 moved as deputies in the Reichstag. She busied herself there, especially with social issues. After the victory of the bourgeois Alliance for Sweden in the Reichstag elections in 2006 she was appointed Minister for Social Security Questions in the Ministry of Social Affairs ( socialförsäkringsminister ) in the government of Prime Minister Reinfeldt.
