Maud Olofsson

Maud Elisabeth Olofsson ( born August 9, 1955 in Arnäsvall, Örnsköldsvik Municipality as Maud Elisabeth Olsson ) is a Swedish politician. She is since 2002 Member of the Swedish Parliament. Maud Olofsson was chairman of the Centerpartiet (March 19, 2001 to September 23, 2011 ) and Swedish Minister for the Economy (6 October 2006 to 29 September 2011). From 2006 to 2010 she was also Deputy Prime Minister.

Reichstag election and change of government in 2006

( Samlingspartiet Moderata, Kristdemokraterna, Centerpartiet and Folkpartiet liberal erna ) Together with Fredrik Reinfeldt, the top candidate of the bourgeois Alliance for Sweden, they competed against Göran Persson. In the Reichstag elections of 19 September 2010 Folkpartiet received more votes than Centerpartiet, so that Jan Björklund took over the post of Deputy Prime Minister.
