The Majestic Major is a five-seat luxury sedan, which is different from the Daimler Majestic replaced by the slightly elongated tail and the engine. Thanks to the powerful engine and excellent road holding the heavy car was interesting for the ambitious driver, but hid it behind his staid appearance. In a test in 1961, the car 196.8 kmh quickly ran and accelerated in 9.7 seconds from 0 to 60 mph (97 km / h).

1960/61, joined as a real chauffeur car is still the DR 450 added, a stretched in front of the rear seats by about sixty centimeters version. Both were built as the last real Daimler until 1968.
