Jaguar XF (2008-2011)

The Jaguar XF is a passenger car series of the British manufacturer Jaguar, which is located in the upper middle class. The successor to the Jaguar S-Type was presented in September 2007 at the IAA in Frankfurt to the public. Since March 8, 2008, the vehicle is offered on the German market.

In the summer of 2011, he was truly cleaned and inspired the new XJ in design. As a technical innovation of the XF got a new entry-level diesel engine. Since November 2012 there is also a station wagon ( "Sport Brake" ).

General

From the design of the XF is modern coupe -like shapes, instead of the familiar retro styling of the S- type. Technically, the XF is based largely on the Coupé XK. So underbody, suspension, drive and many components were taken from the Jaguar XK. The XF is available in three different facilities: Luxury, Premium Luxury and SV8. The Luxury is available with a V6 twin-turbo diesel, the Premium Luxury with the same diesel, the V6 or a V8 naturally aspirated engine. The SV8 is only available in combination with supercharged V8 engine.

In the interior there are some innovations in the XF as the rotating air vents of the Climate Control, the touch screen monitor and the new Jaguar Drive Selector. The gears of the automatic transmission are hereby inserted a large circular controller that arises when starting from the center console.

Specifications

Facelift

In August 2011, the XF has been revised. Most of the changes are ' cosmetic ', such as the design of the headlamps was changed, now that of the C -XF concept car is similar. On November 24, 2012, an estate version called Sport Brake has been introduced which is only available in Europe and initially only available with diesel engines.

In the spring of 2013, the XFR -S followed as a top model in the series. This has a increased to 550 hp five-liter V8 engine.
