Dalia Itzik

Dalia Itzik (Hebrew דליה איציק; born October 20, 1952 in Jerusalem) is an Israeli politician ( Kadima ).

Itziks family is from Iraq. Prior to 1992 delegates in the 12th Knesset was, she was Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem. For the work party Avoda she was Minister for Trade and Environment, and thereafter for communication. On 28 November 2005 Itzik left the Avoda and joined the Kadima to Ariel Sharon at. It was on May 4, 2006 as the first woman President of the Israeli parliament.

Due to the Office of President Moshe Katzav inability took Itzik on 25 January 2007 temporarily whose official duties. This task she fulfilled until the inauguration of Shimon Peres on 15 July 2007.
