Daniele Portanova

Daniele Portanova ( born December 17, 1978 in Rome) is an Italian football player who is under contract with Genoa in Serie A since 2009.

Career

Daniele Portanova began his career in the youth of the U.S. Fermana. In the season 1997/98 he made his debut at Fermana in Serie C1. In the following season bought him the then Serie B club Genoa. For the Genoese, he received six appearances in the league. He was then awarded for AS Cosenza Calcio and shortly afterwards, when he had not attended a single game at Cosenza, in the U.S. Avellino. Also in Avellino he could not intrude and returned in 2000 back to Genoa.

Shortly after it acquired the Sicilian club FC Messina where in his first season, he was able to secure a regular place and promotion to the B series. After three years at the Sicilians he transferred in the summer of 2003 on the Campanian tradition club SSC Napoli. In Naples he brought it to a regular player. The bankruptcy of the Neapolitans, he left the club but after one season and signed for first division side AC Siena.

In Siena, he rose to the crossbar of the Tuscan team regular. In the five years with the club Portanova fought with the crew always against relegation, managed yet year after year the league in Serie A. In the summer of 2009, his transfer to league rivals FC Bologna was announced, where he was able to establish itself as a regular player again.
