David de la Fuente

David de la Fuente (born 4 May 1981 in Reinosa ) is a Spanish professional cyclist. He is 1.74 m tall and weighs 65 kg.

Achievements

His greatest athletic success is the conquest of the dotted jerseys on the second and eleventh stage of the Tour de France 2006. He was at the end of this second evaluation. Its use here were each awarded with the Red shirt number for the most combative rider. At the end of the tour he was selected by an expert jury for combative rider of the tour.

In the 2008 Tour de France he could conquer the 7th stage the polka-dot jersey and this even during the 8th and defend stage 9. In 2009, he won the jersey of the Fuji- Servetto team the GP Miguel Indurain. In the autumn of the same year he came second in the mountains classification of the Vuelta a España, which should succeed him in 2012 also at the Vuelta a España.
