The Diemen Zuid railway station is a through station, the Dutch railway company NS in the southern Dutch town of Diemen. He is the larger of the two stations in Diemen.

History

The lying next to Diemen Zuid railway station of the same Metro station was opened in 1977 with the release of the first Amsterdam Metro lines. At that time, was located around the train station only Barrens. Gradually, a large residential and commercial area developed. The Iron Station Diemen Zuid opened only in 1993, that had to do with the extension of the railway line from Leiden to Weesp, which was then extended from Duivendrecht to Weesp. The railway line was opened directly in high location next to the metro station.
