Dominican Republic at the 1996 Summer Olympics

The Dominican Republic participated in the 1996 Summer Olympics for the ninth time in the Olympic Summer Games in part. The team consisted of 16 athletes, of which twelve were male and four female. They started in 16 contests in seven sports and were able to win any medal. The youngest participant was the athlete Juana Rosario Arrendel 17 years and 310 days, was the oldest Blanca Alejo with 34 years and 131 days, which started in table tennis. During the opening ceremony on 19 July 1996, the boxer Joan Guzman carried the flag of the Dominican Republic in the Olympic Stadium.
