Ekaterina Khomyakova

Yekaterina Chomjakowa (Russian Екатерина Хомякова, English transcription: Ekaterina Khomyakova, born August 11, 1987 in Obninsk ) is a Russian volleyball player.

Career

Yekaterina Chomjakowa played her first international tournament in 2008 and 2009 with Daria Jarsutkina and Anna Wosakowa. At the European Championships in 2009 in Sochi, she made her first with Anastasia Wassina. The Russians retired as a group of third after the first round and were ninth. Then they came for the open tournaments in Sanya and Phuket in the top ten. In 2010 she traveled to a fifth place in Stare Jabłonki the 2010 European Championships in Berlin. There, they lost in the group matches the German duo Köhler / brews and the Finnish Nystrom sisters.

2011 graduated Chomjakowa first few tournaments with Wozakowa before they first took on the Mysłowice Open in a duo with Yevgeniya Ukolowa. At the 2011 World Championships in Rome, the Russians managed to win the group, but then lost in the first round against the Germans Goller / Ludwig.

In the Olympic tournament in London, they landed in ninth place.

2013 Chomjakowa played first with Maria Prokopewa before they again took at the Grand Slams in Corrientes and The Hague with Ukolowa. At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki Chomjakowa / Ukolowa reached the second round, where they did against the Germans Ludwig / Walkenhorst and were ranked number nine.
