Sanya
Sanya (Chinese三亚 市/三亚 市, pinyin Sanya shì ) is a prefecture-level city in Hainan Province of the People's Republic of China. The city is located in the south of the island. Your administrative area has an area of 1919 km ² and 685 408 inhabitants ( census 2010/2011).
Sanya is renowned for its tropical climate and wide sandy beaches and has developed since 2000 continuously to a popular destination for domestic and foreign tourists. In Sanya also found the Second Globalization Forum and the elections to the Miss World in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2010.
In Sanya is an important naval base in China.
Administrative Divisions
Although Sanya is a prefecture-level city, it was not divided into administrative units at the county level ( municipalities, counties, county -level cities). - Greater community Tiandu (田 独 镇), consisting of two residential communities and 17 villages;
- Great Fenghuang (凤凰 镇), consisting of three residential communities and 13 villages;
- Greater community Yacheng (崖 城镇), consisting of seven residential communities and 28 villages;
- Greater community Tianya (天涯 镇), consisting of a population community and twelve villages.

Monuments of China
The Paleolithic site of Luobi Cave ( Luobidong Yizhi落笔 洞 遗址) and the graves of Tengqiao ( Tengqiao Muqun藤桥 墓群) from the Tang Dynasty to Ming Dynasty are since 2001 and 2006 respectively on the list of monuments of people's Republic of China.
