Elli Erl
Elisabeth " Elli " Maria Erl ( born May 25, 1979 in Straubing ) is a German singer who by their victory in the second season of RTL casting show Germany sucht den Superstar was known nationwide.

Musical career
Erl began her singing career in the rock band Panta Rei, the band of Regensburg radio station Gong FM ( GongFM - band ) and the band Last orders, please (LOP ).

She became known in 2004 as the winner of Germany sucht den Superstar, the talent show of the television station RTL. In the final broadcast on March 14, 2004, Erl prevailed over the 19 -year-old rival Denise Tillmanns. By 2013, she was the only woman to win American Idol.

After the musical career
After graduating from the Anton Bruckner Gymnasium Straubing Erl had studied at the University of Regensburg, music and sport for the secondary school teacher until November 2005. Main job she now works as a teacher of music, English and sport at a junior high school in Düsseldorf.
