Emblem of the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic

The coat of arms of the Latvian SSR was introduced on August 25, 1940, after the Latvian SSR became a constituent republic of the former Soviet Union. On February 17, 1990, it was again replaced by the coat of arms of Latvia.
