Emblem of the Transcaucasian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic

The coat of arms of the Transcaucasian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic was the official coat of arms of the Transcaucasian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic, which was from 1922 to 1936 within the Soviet Union.

The coat of arms contained Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani components, while at the same time based on the then State Emblem of Soviet Union. Thus, the crescent moon was in the bottom center of the Islam of the Azerbaijanis. The grid in the star outside, though, was for the Georgian culture. The pictured in the background Mount Ararat has great historical significance for the Armenians. The star at the top center was for communism and the hammer and sickle were for the proletariat.

When the Transcaucasian SFSR was dissolved, the emergence of three new Soviet Republics ( Armenian SSR, Azerbaijan SSR, Georgian SSR), which is now used their own coat of arms.
