Emir Mutapčić

Emir " Muki " Mutapcic ( born May 27, 1960 in Zenica, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Bosnian basketball coach and former player. As a player, he was considered a world class defender and won with the Yugoslav national team a bronze medal at the Olympics in 1984 and the World Cup 1986. Longtime assistant coach of Svetislav Pešić at Alba Berlin took over from the year 2000 itself the responsibility for that team and took three consecutive German Championships in conjunction with two cup victories as a double for the long time dominant German basketball club. Most recently, he worked as a coach in Poland for Anwil Wloclawek. From the summer of 2012, he was then an assistant coach of the German national basketball team under Svetislav Pešić. In January 2013 were Mutapcic new co- coach of FC Bayern Munich, also under head coach Svetislav Pesic.

Emir Mutapcic is married and has two children. In 1984 he was honored with the Olympic Flame at the Olympic Winter Games in Sarajevo.
