The Office Falkenberg - height is a 1992 in the state of Brandenburg formed office, had joined forces in the original nine towns in the former district of Bad Freiwalde to a management network; another municipality was assigned by decree. The seat is in the municipality of Falkenberg (Mark). Through municipal mergers, the number of official member municipalities has today been reduced to four.

Geographical location

The Office is located in the western part of the Mark- Or land in Brandenburg ( Germany ), and is bordered to the north by the offices Biesenthal - Barnim and Britz -Chorin - Or Mountain, on the east by the town of Bad Freiwalde, on the southeast by the official free city Wriezen, in south to the Office Barnim - Oder, on the southwest by the official free city Werneuchen and west again to the Office Biesenthal - Barnim.

After the main Statute of the Office Falkenberg height the office of four official member municipalities of:

  • Beiersdorf -Freudenberg with Beiersdorf and Freudenberg
  • Heckel -Brunow with Heckelberg and Brunow
  • Height of land with mountain lions, Steinbeck and Wölsickendorf - Wollenberg

History

The Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg issued the formation of the Office Falkenberg height on 19 August 1992, his consent. As the time of conclusion of the Office August 21, 1992 has been set. The office was located in the municipality of Falkenberg (Mark) and initially consisted of nine towns in the former district of Bad Freiwalde:

The community Wölsickendorf (recte Wölsickendorf - Wollenberg ) has been assigned to the selfsame date the Office Falkenberg height. On 1 March 1999 the name of the municipality Dannenberg in Dannenberg / Mark has been changed. On 31 December 2001, the municipalities Beiersdorf and Freudenberg merged to form the new municipality of Beiersdorf -Freudenberg. Also on 31 December 2001 formed the communities Dannenberg / Mark, Falkenberg (Mark) and pitcher / Gersdorf the new municipality of Falkenberg. The communities pitcher and Gersdorf had united on 1 October 1961 municipal pitcher / Gersdorf. Again, on the same date, the communities Heckelberg and Brunow merged to form the new municipality of Heckel -Brunow. The community level country was on 1 May 2002 by the merger of the municipalities Leuenberg and Steinbeck. On 26 October 2003, the municipality Wölsickendorf - Wollenberg was incorporated by law in the community level land. Wölsickendorf and Wollenberg had come together on 1 October 1961 community - Wölsickendorf Wollenberg. The community Wölsickendorf - Wollenberg put municipal constitution complaint with the Constitutional Court of the State of Brandenburg, which was rejected.

Amtsdirektor

Eberhard Alberti was re-elected in 2008. He was adopted on 13 October 2011 due to a serious illness in retirement. On April 30, 2012 Holger Horneffer was elected the new office director.
