Federico Villagra
Federico Villagra ( born May 21, 1969) is an Argentine rally driver. He is currently riding for the Munchi 's Ford World Rally Team in the World Rally Championship.
Career
At the age of ten years Villagra began his motorsport career in motocross racing. In 1997 he took part in a first Argentine rally event along with his brother Javier. Already in the same year he made his debut in the WRC, the World Championship race in his home country and was third in the class F2.
Seven years in a row he was Argentine Rally Champion, 2001-2005 in class N4, 2006 and 2007 in the class N.
In 2007, he was then taken from the Munchi 's Ford World Rally Team under contract. At the Rally Japan, he was seventh overall this year, coming in his first World Cup points. In the 2008 season, he played a total of ten rallies in the WRC and reached here a seventh and two sixth places.
In the 2008 season he played ten WRC- runs and reached here four times the points. In the Jordan Rally and the Rally Sardinia Villagra scored each sixth overall ranks its best results. In 2009 he was Argentine Rally Champion again. In the World Rally Championship in 2009, he participated in eight runs. There he managed twice to be at his home rally and the rally Greece, fourth overall. In Sardinia, he had to, cancel the rally because of his acutely ill passenger, but was in all other launched World Championship races into the top eight and finished the season as World Cup ninth. In 2010 he succeeded in the same championship finishing position and the next title in the Argentine Rally Championship. In the World Rally Championship in 2011, he joined the Ford Fiesta RS World Rally Car was launched and, as before, for the Munchis Ford WRT. Villagra launched at the Rally Mexico in 2011, where he finished ninth in the season. Improved in Portugal to eighth place overall. Seventh, he was at the Jordan Rally in 2011 and reached at his home rally this year's sixth place his best result of the season. In Greece, an engine failure prevented his finish. During his seventh and final WRC start, this year, he finished in 18th place and finished the championship in 13th place of the standings. The Argentine Rally Championship he won in 2011 for the tenth time.
