2008 World Rally Championship season

The World Rally Championship 2008 was held in a frame of 15 scoring runs from January 24 to December 7.

The Drivers' Championship of the World Championship was decided before the last race in the UK. Defending champion Sebastien Loeb gave the third place in the Rally of Japan to secure the title prematurely. For Loeb, it was the fifth world title in a row, with whom he sole record world champion of the WRC has now.

At the last race of the season the Citroën Total World Rally Team won the constructors' world championship. The first and third place in the Citroën factory drivers Sebastien Loeb and Daniel Sordo was enough to win the team title for the fourth time after 2003, 2004 and 2005.
