History

The place was already Feichtenschlager 739 first mentioned under the name " Fuihte ". To 1259 Feichtenschlager was bavarian. The place was later extended period of time the Earl of Preysing and was part of the Preysing 's reign forest. 1818 led to the formation of the current community Feichtenschlager. In 1963, the municipality officially named " Feichten ad Alz ".

After the last municipal election held on 2 March 2008 the council has twelve members. The turnout was 66.2 %. The choice was as follows:

Coat of arms

Standing in gold on a red bowed wave beams reinforced black lion holding a rooted spruce in the front paws.

The black lion in a golden field was taken over from the old Salzburg coat of arms and refers to the very old relationship to Salzburg. Feichtenschlager 815 as " Fiuhtan " documentary evidence in connection with a transfer of ownership took place before 789 to the Church in Salzburg. The spruce in the paws of the lion speaks for the municipality of origin; Feichtenschlager is derived from " spruce " and is to be interpreted as " settlement near the pines ". The spruce also plays on the historical affiliation to rule the forest. The wave bar refers to the location of the municipality at the Alz and the corresponding run since 1963 suffix.
