Felben-Wellhausen

Felben -Wellhausen is a municipality in the district of Frauenfeld in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland.

History

Today's church was established in 1983 by combining the Munizipalgemeinde Felben with their local communities and Felben Wellhausen. Apart from these two villages are located in the municipality nor the hamlet Römerstrooss and Guetebärg and Welebärg the same castle.

Coat of arms

The current coat of arms was commissioned in 1983 from the merger of the former led by local churches crest forth. The old coat of arms were fused together after the church merger into a single unit, which also symbolizes the future merger. In the upper part can be found in stylized red, a white willow. The use of red and white goes back to the time before 1798, as Felben still under the town of Frauenfeld. In the lower part can be found in a yellow grooved black castle with gate and two towers. This suggests the former belonging to the castle wave crest. The colors are also the lords of the wave crest.

The proportion of foreign inhabitants is around 17.5 % (as of 2012).
