Football at the Central American Games

Football belongs in the Central American Games to the sports that were constantly in the Games program since 1973. Participants are the seven football teams organized in associations of FIFA CONCACAF from Central America. The tournament is played similarly to the Central American and Caribbean Games in irregular intervals and serves as Central American qualifiers for this. A tournament in women's football has been held since 2001. From the beginning, was for the men's team, analogous to the arrangement in the Olympic football tournament, an age restriction, but here 21 years.
