History

The founding Fries Ried goes back to the year 912. In the hamlet of Blöcktach there was the family seat of the Lords of Schwarzburg, who are attested from 1230 to 1408. The place Friesenried was first mentioned in a deed in 1145. Friesenried was before 1800 seat of the Upper and Lower Court and belonged to the prince pin Kempten.
